Royal Transmission Since

Royal Transmission has been family run for over 40 years. Currently run by Issa and his son Sam the  family still remains active with the business. Now "retired" from the shop floor, you'll still find Issa greeting customers around the shop with his trademark smile and helpful hand. 

Starting out as a transmission engineer at Ford, Issa opened Royal Transmission to fill the gap of knowledge from factory to repair shop. Royal Transmission takes a scientific and mathematical approach to problem solving. Issa has passed his incredible knowledge of transmissions to his son, who has taken reins and the shop into the future. Already certified in many areas, we are still growing fast!

We have a proud history of excellent work and customers service. We have remained loyal in serving our community and, in return, have been recognized through the years by our city! Through our success, we have also been able to give back to our community and strive to help make Detroit the city it once was.  Detroit Made, Detroit Strong. 

Born into the trade, Sam is Issa, the owner's, son. Wrenching on cars since before he could walk he truly is his father's son.  With dreams of taking Royal Transmission into the future and one day opening up a Mercedes Dealership, Sam lives and breaths cars. 

Ken hails from Romulus, Michigan, he began working on cars at 12 years old. He has been working at Royal Transmission for 18 years and doesn't see an end in sight! "We really are like a family here, we take care of each other" 

Mike is from Warrenfield, Michigan. He has been working on cars since 1974 and transmission since 1980. Always with a smile on his face Mike has worked for Royal Transmission since November 2003. When asked why he has stayed with RT for so long Mike answered: "The Family, it's definitely the family."  

Tom is the newest technician in the family. Growing up in transmission family Tom said he was washing parts before he was washing dishes! Before working at RT, Tom worked at various other transmission shops around Dearborn but 4 years ago when Royal had an opening for a tech he rushed at the opportunity. "When I worked at other transmission shops we always called Issa at Royal when we had a problem and he always had the answer" 

Issa has owned Royal Transmission for over 40 years. His vast knowledge of transmissions is unmatched. Having been a Transmission engineer at Ford, Issa is the tri-state's transmission go to guy. Shops from all over call Issa for help on anything transmission related.  "Transmissions are precise machines. All my techs take great care in diagnosing, building and replacing transmission, it truly is an art form at Royal Transmission."

At Royal since 2006, Steve is the manager and the go to guy. Born and raised here in Detroit, Steve always answers the phone with a smile. So whether its scanning & road testing a vehicle, answering the phones or fixing something around the shop Steve truly is a jack of all trades!
